'Oppenheimer' Cillian Murphy: "I only eat almonds every day to lose weight, I don't recommend it"

Actor Cillian Murphy of the movie 'Oppenheimer' (director Christopher Nolan) revealed that he dieted by eating only almonds every day to transform into scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer.

According to Variety on the 18th (local time), Emily Blunt, who appears in 'Oppenheimer', mentioned Cillian Murphy's diet in an interview.

Emily Blunt, who plays opposite Kitty Oppenheimer, said, "He did a very monumental job. He ate only almonds every day, so he looked emaciated."

In May, through the New York Times, Cillian Murphy commented, "I tried to act with very distinct physical characteristics in 'Oppenheimer'. I had to lose quite a bit of weight and also depended on martinis and cigarettes."

However, he explained in an interview with The Guardian in July, "(My) diet is not good for health, and I do not recommend it."

'Oppenheimer' deals with the nuclear development project of a genius scientist who has to take the risk of destroying the world in order to save it. It is the new work of director Christopher Nolan, a master who captivated the world with his unrivaled directing skills in each of his films, including the 'Dark Knight' trilogy, 'Inception', 'Interstellar', 'Dunkirk' and 'Tennet'.

Cillian Murphy played J. Robert Oppenheimer, a scientist who has been called the 'Father of the Atomic Bomb' and who was the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory during World War II.
