Actor Lee Sang-i revealed his affection for Woo Do-hwan, whom he worked with in the Netflix series 'Hounds'.
On the morning of the 7th, the production presentation of the Netflix series 'Hounds' was held at the Naru Ballroom on the 2nd floor of MGallery in Hotel Naru Seoul. Actors Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang, Park Sung-woong, and director Kim Joo-hwan attended the event.
'Hounds' is a story about two young men caught up in the world of loan sharks, where money comes before people's lives, risking their lives against a huge evil force. It is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name.
In the drama, Lee Sang-i played the role of Woo-jin. Woojin is a friendly and fearless young boxer. After meeting Gern-wu (played by Woo Do-hwan) in the finals of a boxing competition, they quickly become close with each other because they are marines, and they become more like brothers than brothers and set out to avenge Gern-wu.
On this day, Lee Sang-i said, "I enjoyed watching the director's previous work, 'Youth Police.' MC Park Kyung-rim, who heard this, asked, "I heard it smelled. Whose scent was it, Park Seo-joon or Kang Ha-neul?"
Lee Sang-i seemed to be taken aback by the question and could not continue his speech. Then, director Kim Joo-hwan responded, "Looking at his height, it seems to be Park Seo-joon," and laughed. Lee Sang-i said, "I had a good smell of romance. I was interested in the story of romance. Like actor Dohwan said, I really wanted to do an action. Unlike other scripts, it was the first time I wrote a text with tremendous detail. It was described as an action bromance and I really wanted to do it.”
Regarding Woo Do-hwan, whom he worked with, "He is only younger than me. There are many times when he is like an older brother. Even when filming, actor Do-hwan gave him a lot of strength. We filmed MBC's variety show 'I Live Alone' together. 'Hyung, next week's meal 'Let's eat' and I went, so it was filming. It wasn't that difficult. When filming, you prepare your mind and you can wear so-called clothes. Without that, I showed it as it was normally. This was the first time for me to do authentic action, but every time I filmed He really helped me a lot," expressing his gratitude.
'Hounds' will be released in 190 countries around the world through Netflix on the 9th.
