The drama 'Lee Jae, Dying Soon', starring Seo In-guk and Park So-dam, apologized for the recent controversy over the harsh words of the filming staff.
On the 15th, TVING's original 'Lee Jae, I'll Die Soon' released an official statement saying, "Last weekend, we confirmed that there were inappropriate words and actions by an assistant staff member hired on the day to organize and guide the filming location. We failed to pay closer attention during the production process. “I sincerely apologize for not being able to do so and for causing discomfort.”
He added, “We will strive to prevent unpleasant incidents from recurring through more thorough on-site management in the future.”
Earlier on this day, an article titled 'I'm suing the drama staff who told a passerby to leave at COEX' was posted on an online community.
The author claimed that while he was passing by COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 14th when a foreigner asked for a photo, a man frowned and chased him with rude language.
He said, “I looked at the situation roughly and it was like they were preparing to set up a drama.” He added, “I don’t know if the staff member would have said it well from the beginning, but I felt bad when they said it all with a temper tantrum, so I thought I should say something too, so I said, ‘I only filmed it because a foreigner asked me to film it. “I didn’t know what I was doing, so why are you losing your temper?’” he said, explaining the situation.
He continued, “He didn’t even say ‘I’m filming a drama’ and he just talked about the background, so at first I thought he was mentally ill. To be honest, I wasn't interested, but the way they talked about why they didn't know when they were busy busy maintaining it was ridiculous, and I said, 'I didn't know, I was just taking pictures at the request, and I was taking pictures of people, not the shooting scene. Why are you so angry at me? “Why don’t you pay, don’t say anything to me, just say it to the foreigner,” he muttered to himself, then glared at me and said, “Are you okay?”
At the same time, he asked, “Why on earth do we have to listen to this kind of criticism? It wasn’t a good thing from the beginning, but I asked if I was angry because I lost my temper, so I should be criticized?” He asked, “If the staff has been so abusive so far, it is a citizen passing by.” “I wonder if someone can use such vulgar language without hesitation, and it is absurd and unfair to experience this kind of thing that I only see in the community,” he added.
Meanwhile, 'Lee Jae, I'm Dying Soon' is a work scheduled to be released in the second half of this year. Seo In-guk and Park So-dam are scheduled to appear.
