'Casino' Kim Joo-ryeong revealed that she is working on acting with the mindset of going back to the beginning.
Recently, I met actor Kim Joo-ryeong, who appeared in Disney Plus+'s 'Casino', at a cafe in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul. Jin Young-hee, played by Kim Joo-ryeong, is the owner of a local Korean restaurant in the Philippines and is involved in a Korean murder case.
In the play, Jinyoung-hee Jinyoung tells construction company director Choi Chil-gu (played by Song Young-gyu) that she has a grudge against Cha Moo-sik, and that her mafia boyfriend is being asked to carry out a contract killing. Afterwards, money comes into the bank account and Chairman Min is actually murdered.
Kim Joo-ryeong expressed her joy at acting with Choi Min-sik in this series. Kim Joo-ryeong said, "He is also a senior at school, and this is the reason why I became successful. I played the role of senior Choi Min-sik's spokesperson in 'Special Citizen'. At that time in the drama, I did not dare to talk to senior Choi Min-sik. I just followed him around. But this time, “Aren’t we talking to each other? I thought, ‘Ju-ryeong, you’ve really achieved success,’” he said, laughing. He continued, "He said he wanted to do a play recently. 'If I had to do it, would you do it?' So I said, 'I like it.' If I could meet you on stage instead of in the media... I get nervous just thinking about it. There's a reason why I chose this work because Choi Min-sik said he'd do it, but it's a shame that we haven't met him in a few scenes in this series. Before starting the work, I asked the director I even asked him to make a scene where I meet my senior. Of course, I personally can't do that. But when I watch my senior act, my mouth opens and I concentrate without even realizing it. It's Cha Moo-sik itself. 'How can I become like that? “I thought, ‘I want to act like that, too,’” he said.

Kim Joo-ryeong said, “The biggest change while playing Han Mi-nyeo in ‘Squid Game’ was that it gave me an opportunity to tell the world, ‘There is an actress named Kim Joo-ryeong.’ Since then, I am grateful for the work that has given me more opportunities to act than before. He said, “I felt like I was famous.” He continued, "I was very busy last year as 'Squid Game' did well. I was busy filming 'Third Person Revenge', 'Casino', 'Survival as a Celebrity Manager', and 'Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se-poong'. At the same time, I felt a sense of responsibility. I felt pressure. Because there were more eyes watching. I felt like I had to act better. I thought that if I didn't do well, people would ignore me. I tried to do too well, so it took a lot of effort. 'Casino' is the story of Cha Moo-sik (played by Choi Min-sik), a casino legend, who faces a crisis and begins to make the last bet of his life against the persistent pursuit of Korean Desk Oh Seung-hoon (played by Son Seok-gu). The last episode of Season 2 was released on the 22nd.
