Lee Seol-ah, weather caster, angry at ‘impersonator’

Weather caster Lee Seol-ah issued a warning to an impersonator who created a social media account impersonating her.

Lee Seol-ah said on the 24th, “A criminal complaint is being filed against someone who impersonated me until recently and created accounts on various social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and wrote malicious comments and profanity.”

He added, “Currently, the identity of the impersonator has been identified and transferred to the police station with jurisdiction over the address, and the results of the complaint in which the defendant has been identified and are being investigated are expected to be released soon.”

He continued, “If the person continues to operate an impersonation account or creates a new account and writes malicious posts even after being investigated by the police, we will file additional charges against the person involved,” and added, “If the criminal activity continues even after the final sentence, we plan to even seek civil damages.” “I emphasize once again that there is no agreement or leniency,” he warned.

Previously, Lee Seol-ah said that she had received several reports about account impersonation and had predicted strong measures against malicious comments by expressing her discomfort and saying, "As a KBS weather caster, I would have written comments like that."
