On the 10th, Kim Min-ha's agency Saram Entertainment announced to Ten Asia, "Kim Min-ha will attend the 28th U.S. Critics Choice Awards with 'Pachinko'."
Apple TV+'s 'Pachinko' (directed by Kogonada), in which Kim Min-ha plays the role of a young monk, is a story that begins with forbidden love and travels between Korea, Japan, and the United States, chronicling war and peace, love and separation, victory and judgment. It is a drawing work.
'Pachinko' was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Series award at this awards ceremony.
Lee Min-ho, who played the role of Hansoo, who co-starred with Kim Min-ha, was currently busy filming the drama 'Ask the Stars', so he was inevitably unable to attend.
'Weird Lawyer Woo Young-woo' was also nominated for the Best Foreign Language Series Award along with 'Pachinko'. The drama's lead actress Park Eun-bin and director Yoo In-sik confirmed their attendance at the awards ceremony.
Previously, the Netflix original drama 'Squid Game' made new history by winning two awards at the awards ceremony. Actor Lee Jung-jae enjoyed the honor of Best Actor and lifted the Foreign Language Series Award trophy for 'Squid Game'.
Expectations are high whether Korean content will be able to enjoy the joy of winning at the Critics' Choice Awards again this year.
Meanwhile, the Critics' Choice Awards is an award in which the Critics' Choice Association (CCA), the largest critics' organization in North America, including the United States and Canada, evaluates the work of broadcasts and movies and the acting skills of actors. It is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, USA on the 15th (local time).
