Lee Yi-dam "I was nervous about the kissing scene with Jang Ryul because it was my first time."
Actor Lee Yi-dam shared his thoughts on filming his first kiss scene with actor Jang Ryul, his co-star in Netflix's 'Morning Comes Even in the Mental Ward'.

On the afternoon of the 21st, Lee Yi-dam was interviewed at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and told various stories about Netflix's 'Morning Comes Even in the Psychiatric Ward.'

'Morning Comes to the Psychiatric Ward', which was released on the 3rd, tells the various stories of the world and heartbreaking people that Da-eun (Park Bo-young), a nurse who is working in a mental health department for the first time, meets inside the psych ward.

Lee Yi-dam played the role of nurse Dandelion and gave a passionate performance. It revealed the professional side of an ace nurse who was promising to be the next teacher, and also showed off a thrilling romance with psychiatrist Hwang Yeo-hwan (played by Jang Ryul).

On this day, Lee Yi-dam said about the romance narrative between Dandelion and Hwang Yeo-hwan, "At first, Deulle pushed Yeo-hwan away. It was not because she disliked Yeo-hwan, but I think it was because they were in very different positions." He added, "Deulle could not erase the stress about money even for a moment. He said, “He is a person who does not exist, but isn’t Yeohwan the exact opposite? The more he faces that person, the smaller he feels.”

Lee Yi-dam filmed her first kiss scene in ‘Morning Comes Even in the Psychiatric Ward.’ He said, “This is the only kissing scene in our drama,” and “I wanted to capture the part where Deulle opens her heart, rather than just a kissing scene that has to be pretty.”

He recalled the atmosphere at the time, saying, “Senior Jang Ryul was also nervous because it was his first time doing a kissing scene.”
