Go Min-si “Understands the harsh criticism of ‘Sweet Home 2’”

Actress Go Min-si expressed her thoughts on the evaluation of the character as a nuisance.

Go Min-si met with Ten Asia at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 12th and told various stories about the Netflix original series 'Sweet Home 2'.

'Sweet Home 2', which was released on the 1st, is a world where desire becomes a monster, Hyun-soo (played by Song Kang) and the survivors of Green Home, who leave Green Home and fight each other to survive in a new home, and the lives of another being. A work that depicts new desires, events, and struggles, including the emergence and unknown mysterious phenomena. Go Min-si played the role of Lee Eun-yu, who grew from an immature and prickly high school girl to an earnest female warrior.

Regarding some of the harsh criticism that poured in after the release of 'Sweet Home 2', Go Min-si said, "Because it is different from Season 1, I think viewers may have different expectations. Because it cannot satisfy everyone, there are negative criticism about Season 2. “I’m trying to understand. I’m accepting it,” he said.

In Season 2, Go Min-si constantly visited her older brother Eun-hyuk (Lee Do-hyun) and was evaluated as a 'nuisance character'. Regarding this reaction, Ko Min-si said, "From Eun-yu's perspective, the presence of Eun-hyuk, who had always protected him from behind during Season 1, disappeared in an instant. I thought Eun-hyuk was the only reason and goal for Eun-yu to endure. That's why he was able to grow further." He explained, "If in Season 1, metaphor came first with words, then in Season 2, it appears first through action. I don't want to lose anything precious to me anymore, and I thought I tried to search patiently because I didn't see the last of my brother."

When asked if he understood Metaphor's solo actions, Go Min-si said, "I would never do that if I were you. So I talked a lot with the director to understand Metaphor's character. I wanted to be able to show the metaphor from season 1, but also show a different metaphor. "Isn't Yeo-yu a character who doesn't know where he will fall? It may be inconvenient to show his will to find his brother while being hated by Chief Ji, but I thought that was the key point in creating a true Yeo-man's character."
