INFINITE's Nam Woo-hyun confessed that he had a hard time mentally due to his battle with GIST cancer.
On the 4th, on the YouTube entertainment show 'Jaefriend', there was a story about 'ramen soup spilling and splattering on a 40 million won rug. A video titled ‘Jaefriend Ep.34’ was released.
Kim Jaejoong asked Nam Woohyun, “He said the reason he wanted to hold a concert first after recovering his condition was because he wanted to make fans cringe.” Nam Woo-hyun expressed his extraordinary love for his fans, saying, "I missed my fans because I was sick. I cried a lot."
Nam Woo-hyun recovered from gastrointestinal cancer last year. He said, "When I first got tested, they said there was something there. It was small 3-4 years ago, but after 2 years, it got bigger. I went to a large hospital and did a screening test, and they said it was a rare cancer." Accordingly, I underwent a 20cm open surgery in April last year and was hospitalized for about a month.
When Kim Jaejoong asked, “Do you have any scars?” Nam Woohyun responded, “I can’t show you, but I have.” He then confessed, "Now that I have recovered well, I am going to play soccer and release an album. In fact, Infinite's album was almost postponed because of me. Sunggyu hyung suggested that we postpone it. I was frustrated because I couldn't sing while dancing."
Nam Woo-hyun said, “I was out of my mind for a week after the surgery because I suffered more mentally than physically.” Regarding the possibility of recurrence, he said, "It exists, but it is extremely rare. I had a follow-up test not long ago, and luckily it healed well."
