Actor Seo Hyun-woo, known for his frequent villain roles, has shared his acting secrets.
On the 10th, the YouTube channel 'VIVO TV - 비보티비' uploaded a video titled 'Riding in a Car with Comedy Master Kim Dong-wook and Flirting Master Seo Hyun-woo.' For the first time, the show featured two guests, Kim Dong-wook and Seo Hyun-woo.
Host Song Eun-i asked Seo Hyun-woo, the 'villain collector,' if he ever felt impulses in real life due to his frequent villain roles. Seo Hyun-woo responded, 'When I play a villain, I try to objectify the character as much as possible. Even during scenes involving weapons, I make a point to joke around when the camera isn't rolling. If such behavior accumulates, it might become difficult for anyone.'
He added, 'Actors often try to experience extreme emotions, so objectifying the role might be necessary.' Seo Hyun-woo also mentioned, 'I've heard that in Hollywood, there are professionals on set who provide psychological counseling and check the actors' conditions daily.'
Song Eun-i then asked Kim Dong-wook which work he would choose to leave in his filmography. She offered three options: 'Special Labor Inspector Jo,' 'Along with the Gods,' and 'Coffee Prince.' Kim Dong-wook quickly chose 'Coffee Prince.'
Explaining his choice, he said, 'Thanks to many people remembering 'My Chan~' from 'Coffee Prince,' I was able to build a substantial filmography afterward.' He added, 'It was my first drama, and fortunately, it received a lot of love.'
When asked if he would take on a similar role again, Kim Dong-wook replied, 'There's no reason not to. Although we're older now, it might bring a different kind of fun.'
Previously, the drama 'My Lovely Sam-soon,' which caused the 'Sam-soon Syndrome,' returned after 19 years with a 2024 version. 'My Lovely Sam-soon 2024' was released on Wave on the 6th as an 8-episode series.
