Actor Kim Young-dae has unveiled a new photo shoot. Kim Young-dae recently captivated audiences with his performance as Kim Ji-wook in the tvN and TVING original drama 'Not Wanting to Lose'. In an interview following the shoot, Kim Young-dae shared insights about his growth through the character of Kim Ji-wook in 'Not Wanting to Lose'.
He stated, "If life is an ocean, there are countless waves within it. As a person, Kim Young-dae tends to be swayed by these waves, but Ji-wook remains steadfast. He is always consistent. Despite the hardships he faced since childhood, he maintains a calm exterior, and that's something I wanted to learn." Since his debut in 2017, Kim Young-dae has steadily built his filmography without taking a break. When asked about the driving force behind his continuous work, he replied, "There's nothing as certain as experience. I never hesitated or refused when it came to acting opportunities. I strongly believed that my twenties were a time to accumulate experiences."
He further expressed the joy of growth, saying, "There are moments when I feel my capabilities have expanded while acting. When something that seemed impossible becomes a natural part of me, it's a pure joy. The reward for not avoiding challenges and gaining experience is truly sweet." Having wrapped up 'Not Wanting to Lose', Kim Young-dae is set to return to viewers in the TVING original drama 'Dear X'. He described his character as a 'guardian angel' among many men surrounding Baek Ah-jin, played by Kim Yoo-jung.
"Director Lee Eung-bok is at the helm, and it promises to be a diverse drama," he added, raising expectations. Meanwhile, more of Kim Young-dae's photos and interviews can be found in the November issue of Allure and on their website.
