Korean singer KCM, whose real name is Kang Chang-mo, has revealed that he is the father of two daughters. The 43-year-old artist shared that he had his first daughter in 2012 before marriage and his second daughter after marrying his wife. He expressed feelings of relief and gratitude for finally sharing this news.
On the 20th, KCM stated, "Though it's about 12 years late, I want to thank everyone who congratulated me. I also want to express my gratitude to my wife and children who have endured this long journey with me."
He continued, "I have done my best to protect my precious family, though I may have been lacking. I apologize to any fans who may have been surprised or hurt by this news. My desire to be a good father and a proud husband sometimes led to immature decisions."
Feeling relieved, KCM added, "I will continue to live earnestly with more sincerity and responsibility. Thank you to everyone who has supported and watched over me. Looking back, there are so many people I am grateful to. I will repay this gratitude for the rest of my life. I will work harder on my music."
Earlier, KCM's agency, A2Z Entertainment, confirmed that he has a daughter born in 2012 and another born in 2022. According to the agency, KCM had his first daughter with his then-girlfriend, now wife, but due to financial difficulties, they were unable to register their marriage at that time.
In January 2022, KCM announced his marriage to a company employee nine years his junior. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they held a small ceremony.
The agency further explained, "After the birth of their second daughter, KCM felt guilty about not being able to share the news of his first daughter. Now, he feels truly happy to have a complete family. He worked hard for 10 years to build a complete family before officially registering their marriage."
KCM's heartfelt message concluded with a promise to continue working hard and expressing gratitude to those who have supported him throughout his journey.
