Actress Seo Ye-ji is making her return to variety shows after an 8-year hiatus, appearing on TV Chosun's 'Baekban Journey with Heo Young-man'.
The preview for next week's episode, which aired on the 23rd, revealed Seo Ye-ji's appearance in the upcoming episode set in Wonju, Gangwon Province.
The production team introduced her as 'the actress with a million-dollar smile'. Heo Young-man described her as "a beautiful and elegant woman." On a snowy day, Seo Ye-ji greeted viewers with a bright smile, saying, "Hello."
Seo Ye-ji and Heo Young-man embarked on a culinary tour of Wonju's famous eateries. At one restaurant, Seo Ye-ji danced to Jennie's 'Mantra'. She had previously performed a cover dance of 'Mantra' at her fan meeting last year.
Throughout the show, Seo Ye-ji was seen laughing and reacting positively to Heo Young-man's comments. Heo Young-man expressed his satisfaction, saying, "She laughs at everything I say." Seo Ye-ji also enjoyed all the dishes they tried, commenting, "I'm really glad I appeared on 'Baekban Journey'."
This marks Seo Ye-ji's first variety show appearance since her 2017 appearance on JTBC's 'Knowing Bros'.
Seo Ye-ji was previously signed with Gold Medalist, a company founded by Lee Ro-bae, who is known to be a relative of actor Kim Soo-hyun. She starred alongside Kim Soo-hyun in the tvN drama 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay'.
Recently, Seo Ye-ji addressed rumors about an alleged affair with Kim Soo-hyun through her official fan cafe, stating, "I wish people would stop. I have no relationship with him or his brother. I don't even know why I have to clarify this, but today I feel quite frustrated."
In April 2021, she was embroiled in controversy over allegations of gaslighting her former boyfriend, actor Kim Jung-hyun.
In 2023, Seo Ye-ji's contract with Gold Medalist expired, and she has since joined Sublime Artist Agency.
