Kim Young-dae Donates 50 Million Won to Aid Wildfire Victims in South Korea

World Vision, an international relief and development NGO, announced on the 11th that actor Kim Young-dae has donated 50 million won to support children and residents affected by the large-scale wildfires in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions of South Korea.

According to Kim Young-dae's wishes, the donation will be fully utilized for emergency living expenses, appliance and furniture support, and programs aimed at psychological and emotional recovery for children and residents in the affected areas. This contribution is expected to provide substantial aid to those in urgent need of returning to their daily lives.

Kim Young-dae expressed, "I heard the news that the wildfires have been contained, but I realized that many residents still have to live in pain and discomfort. I can't even begin to imagine the immense difficulties and suffering they are going through, and it breaks my heart." He added, "I decided to donate in hopes that their daily lives can be restored as soon as possible and that it can be of some help."

Jang Myung-hwan, Chairman of World Vision, stated, "We are grateful to Kim Young-dae for his warm-hearted empathy towards the children and residents affected by the wildfires, especially in a situation where much support is needed." He continued, "The donation will be used wisely in areas that need help due to wildfire damage, utilizing World Vision's expertise to the fullest."

World Vision promptly launched emergency relief efforts for children and residents in the affected areas immediately after the wildfires and has significantly increased its support from 5 billion won to 35 billion won as the scale of the damage grew.

Additionally, World Vision is conducting fundraising activities to assist residents affected by the wildfires. Contributions can be made through Naver Happy Bean, Kakao Together, the official World Vision website, and their main contact number.

In March, World Vision signed a partnership agreement with Outer Universe Entertainment. Kim Young-dae, who is affiliated with Outer Universe, showcased his acting skills in last year's tvN drama 'Because I Don't Want to Lose' and is set to appear in MBC's 'To the Moon' and the TVING original drama 'Dear X' this year.
