On the 23rd, an interview with Seohyun, who plays the role of Sharon in the upcoming film 'The Chosen Night: Demon Hunters,' was conducted at a café in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Seohyun greeted the press in a refreshing tweed jacket, perfectly suited for the warm spring weather.
'The Chosen Night: Demon Hunters' is an occult action film set in a city thrown into chaos by a cult worshiping evil. The film follows the 'Chosen Night' team, including Bau (played by Ma Dong-seok), Sharon (played by Seohyun), and Kim Gun (played by Lee Da-wit), as they battle the forces of evil. Seohyun portrays Sharon, a powerful exorcist capable of vanquishing any demon.
Known as a workaholic in the entertainment industry, Seohyun has been continuously active from her days in Girls' Generation to her acting career. But what provides her a breather?
Seohyun shared, "I'm deeply into playing the piano. I play for 10 hours a day. I'm all or nothing. Once I'm into something, I do only that. I bought a piano and even built a soundproof room. Even if I'm hungry, I just keep playing. I go to the bathroom and then play again. Before I know it, it's night."
It's known that Seohyun's mother was a piano academy director. Seohyun said, "I've loved classical music since I was young. My original dream was to be a pianist. I even want to perform with an orchestra." She added, "I played the piano so much that I developed finger arthritis and had to visit the hospital. I couldn't even wear a single ring. The doctor advised me to rest now to avoid suffering later. But how could I resist the piano's call? It was tempting," she said, bringing laughter to the interview.
She continued, "I played gently. I treated my hands with warm compresses and paraffin, and I went back to a professor to learn the basics of piano properly again. Now, I no longer have arthritis."
'The Chosen Night: Demon Hunters' is set to release on the 30th.
