Jung Kyung-ho and So Ju-yeon Team Up for New Legal Drama 'Pro Bono'

Jung Kyung-ho, known for his public relationship with former Girls' Generation member Choi Soo-young, is set to star alongside So Joo-yeon in the upcoming tvN drama 'Pro Bono'. This new series is slated to premiere in the latter half of 2025.

'Pro Bono' is a comedic human courtroom drama that follows a self-serving judge who unexpectedly becomes a public interest lawyer. The series is penned by Moon Yoo-seok, known for 'The Devil Judge' and 'Miss Hammurabi', and directed by Kim Sung-yoon, who has worked on 'Love in the Moonlight', 'Itaewon Class', and 'The Sound of Magic'.

Jung Kyung-ho will portray Kang Da-wit, a former judge turned public interest lawyer. Known for his impeccable work and clean image, Kang Da-wit is a legal influencer with hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. However, an unforeseen incident forces him to resign from his judgeship and start anew as a public interest lawyer in a small, dimly lit office.

So Joo-yeon takes on the role of Park Ki-bbeum, a passionate public interest lawyer who becomes a legal enthusiast due to her deep dive into various interests. She finds solace in helping good citizens who rely on the law and upholding human rights and social justice.

Together, Kang Da-wit and Park Ki-bbeum work as public interest lawyers for the organization 'Pro Bono', using funds from defending the wealthy to support victims in need. Their synergy promises to deliver thrilling catharsis as they navigate the legal world.

The drama will explore the intriguing lives of public interest lawyers who handle pro bono cases in a small, unassuming office, contrasting with the high-stakes world of large law firms dealing with inheritance disputes and tax lawsuits.

'Pro Bono' is set to air on tvN in the latter half of 2025.
