143 Entertainment has issued a statement regarding allegations of sexual misconduct against its CEO, Lee Yong-hak, involving former MADEIN member Ga-eun.
On the morning of the 29th, a press conference was held at the Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, where accusations of forced molestation by Lee Yong-hak were addressed. In response, 143 Entertainment expressed regret over the controversy surrounding their management representative.
The company stated, "There are many discrepancies in the claims made by the member involved, but as the police investigation is ongoing, we are actively cooperating with the authorities. We aim to correct any distortions with objective evidence during this process."
143 Entertainment further commented, "It is unfortunate that the member's side demanded a large settlement based on one-sided claims related to an incident reported last year. After refusing this demand, a criminal complaint was filed approximately six months after the alleged incident."
The company concluded, "We hope that the truth will be revealed through this process and assure that we will fulfill our responsibilities according to the legal judgment."
Lee Yong-hak, CEO of 143 Entertainment, is currently facing allegations of sexual misconduct involving Ga-eun, a former member of the girl group MADEIN. Previously, JTBC's 'Incident Chief' reported that a member of a multinational girl group that debuted last September was sexually harassed by the agency's CEO. 143 Entertainment has denied these claims, stating they are "clearly unfounded," and announced Ga-eun's departure from the group.
