Actress Jin Seo-yeon recently revealed that she was extremely introverted as a child.
On the Channel A show 'Best Friends Documentary – Table for 4' aired on the 28th, Jin Seo-yeon invited fellow actors Um Moon-suk and Choi Soo-young to share stories.
Jin Seo-yeon spoke about her childhood, saying, "I was the second of three daughters. My older sister was into sports, my younger sister was into dance, and with both parents working, I had to take care of the family." She continued, "Because of my introverted nature, I had no friends and barely attended elementary school. I even listed jobs like a nun or a cleaning assistant, which required no talking, as my desired professions."
Jin Seo-yeon eventually found her way into modeling, thinking it required only taking photos. "Back then, there was no concept of entertainment agencies, so I had to negotiate directly with companies, which required speaking. I found the short acting in commercials fun, which led me to pursue acting," she explained.
Since her debut in 2007, Jin Seo-yeon experienced three agency bankruptcies and did not receive proper payment for her advertising work. After 15 years of struggling in obscurity, she confessed, "I thought I would quit after filming the movie 'Believer.'"
