'Bodyguard' Kevin Costner breaks up after 18 years of marriage

American actor and director Kevin Costner is divorcing his wife, who is 19 years younger than him, after 18 years of marriage.

Recently, according to foreign media such as CNN, Costner and his wife decided to end their 18-year marriage.

Costner's spokesman, Arnold Robinson, said in a statement, "Due to unavoidable circumstances, Costner and his wife have decided to file for divorce." He asked, "Please respect the privacy of Costner's wife, Baumgartner, and their three children, who are going through a difficult time."

It is not specifically known what led the Costners to decide to divorce.

Costner married handbag designer and model Christine Baumgartner in Colorado in 2004. The couple has three children, sons Kayden and Hayes, and daughter Grace. Costner also has four other children from his relationship with his ex-wife.
