Jeong Seon-ah "I support Kim Ho-young, the motive for his debut as the 'trend of the trends'"
Interview with Jeong Seon-ah as Elizabeth in the musical ‘Ifden’

On the afternoon of the 9th, Jeong Seon-ah told various stories about the musical 'Ifden' at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
'Ifden' is a work that depicts Elizabeth, who returns to New York 12 years after her divorce to work in the city planning department, and lives different lives as Liz and Beth depending on her choices.
Jeong Seon-ah takes on the role of Elizabeth in the play and delicately expresses the character's ever-changing emotions and concerns. He married a businessman who is one year younger than him in 2021 and had a daughter last year. For Jeong Sun-ah, ‘Ifden’ is her musical comeback after giving birth.
On this day, Jeong Seon-ah said, "I'm an actor who does a lot of so-called large theater. The bigger, deeper the stage is, and the farther away I am from the audience, the more stable I feel. The audience will look at me intently, and although I sing loudly on a big stage, I don't act with much care." “It’s not that I don’t do it. I felt like the further away I was (from the audience), the more comfortable I felt,” he began.

He continued, "I was worried. I lived with the thoughts, 'I want to do a play someday' and 'I might be able to do a play.' But didn't the audience see me wearing cute, unique, strong, and flashy clothes and a wig? This time, I looked like this. “I think it looked different. I was always thirsty,” he added.
Jeong Seon-ah said, "It's my first time having so many lines like in 'Ifden.' I've never had so many lines for a female character. I had a hard time while practicing because of the length. I cried a lot. My memory is bad after giving birth. “I lost. It wasn’t particularly good,” he said, making everyone laugh.
Also, "I wondered, 'Is this what my seniors are talking about?' There's a lot to memorize, and the songs all pass by very quickly with lines. The music is also very difficult. I encountered good works while practicing, but I thought, 'Why did I say I was doing this?' and 'I must be crazy.' “I went back and forth between heaven and hell, crying and laughing with things like, ‘Why did you do that?’” he said.
Jeong Seon-ah said, "I thought to myself, 'How will I perform?' and 'Can I memorize the lines?' to the point where I couldn't catch up if I didn't practice the rest. Memorizing it was difficult. In fact, my double friends were good at memorizing it. It was a little difficult physically, too. , it was hard to follow. I laughed a lot, but I cried a lot. I was depressed. At one point, I went back and forth with thoughts like, ‘Can I do well?’, ‘Can I do well?’, and ‘I’m going to break through the ceiling.’”

Not only that, "In the past, when I was younger, there were a lot of musicals to do within a year. I did more than now. Love calls were flooding in, and there were a lot of projects I wanted to do, but I didn't have the energy to turn my attention to other things. In a way, don't you go on entertainment shows to promote your work? . Otherwise, I couldn't show much of myself. When I was on stage with the audience, I thought, 'I was born for this,' and 'I was born to do musicals.' I'm nervous about broadcasting, and it's fun because it's a new genre. Of course, there are other things to do. “I may not know the genre because I haven’t been there before, but I think the performance is still good.”
Jeong Seon-ah said, "I had that opportunity in the past. At that time, I was afraid of movies. If I didn't fit in perfectly, I wanted to do my best in musicals. To be honest, it's cool that a lot of my colleagues and seniors have gone (to the media) now. "Don't musical actors do it live in front of an audience? When I went to the media, I heard that they were so-called 'not afraid and not scared.' I thought musical actors did a great job even in other genres."
Jeong Seon-ah said, "I watch TV sometimes too. It's nice to see people working hard and doing well in this field. My friends, for example, Hoyoung oppa, have also become one of the hottest trends now. Hoyoung oppa is the same classmate that I debuted with." “It was ranked first. It’s great to see, and I support it. But I think I like musicals better. I don’t have much time to watch TV at home, so I think I like musicals better,” he said, laughing.
Meanwhile, the musical 'Ifden' starring Jeong Seon-ah will be performed at Hongik University's Daehakro Art Center on February 26.
