IU's Heartwarming Gestures: From Thoughtful Gifts to Generous Donations

Child actress Kim Tae-yeon, who co-starred with IU in the Netflix drama 'You Have Done Well,' recently shared how IU assisted her ahead of an awards ceremony. Kim's mother expressed on social media, "IU personally took care of the dress and styling," adding that they were moved by her meticulous care.
According to industry sources, IU accompanied Kim Tae-yeon to a dress shop and personally selected her outfit. During the 2023 filming of 'You Have Done Well,' IU made headlines for gifting the entire staff luxury headphones worth approximately 700,000 KRW, custom shoes, and handwritten Christmas letters.

At her Osaka concert in July last year, IU arranged catering from local gourmet restaurants, which are typically hard to book. The food trucks featured sushi, yakiniku, takoyaki, and even a ramen chef. Staff members took to social media to express their amazement, saying, "It felt like a food truck festival," and "A sushi master was part of the catering."

IU's continued kindness to acquaintances she meets through broadcasts is also noteworthy. Comedian Park Myung-soo revealed on JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' that he has been receiving holiday gifts from IU for over a decade, praising her for her thoughtful selection of items like beef, ginseng, honey, and truffles.
Moreover, IU is a member of the 'Hope Bridge Honors Club,' a group of high-value donors. She regularly donates on her birthday, debut anniversary, and at the end of the year. Last year, she donated 500 million KRW under the name 'IUaena,' a combination of her name and her fandom's name. Her cumulative donations amount to approximately 6.7 billion KRW.
IU's fan service is also filled with sincerity. At her Sangam concert, she provided cushions and binoculars to all 50,000 attendees, saying, "I hope you can enjoy it from afar as if you were close." She also included a note encouraging fans to recycle the binocular cases, showing her consideration for the environment.
