Sung Yuri Returns to Home Shopping Amid Husband's Legal Troubles

Sung Yuri is set to make her return to home shopping as her husband, professional golfer Ahn Sung-hyun, faces legal issues.

On the 25th, GS Home Shopping announced on Instagram, "The star of our new program is Korea's legendary wannabe, Sung Yuri," along with a promotional video. They added, "Please look forward to the first broadcast of 'Sung Yuri Edition' on the 30th at 9:45 PM," describing it as a "shopping solution program."

Previously, GS Home Shopping teased the launch of a new program with a video featuring a woman dancing, hinting at the show's theme.

Hints included 'Original Fairy,' 'Thousand Years of Love,' and 'Healing Camp.' Fin.K.L, the group Sung Yuri was part of, was known as the 'Original Fairy.' She starred in the drama 'Thousand Years of Love' (2003) and hosted the talk show 'Healing Camp' (2013-2015).

Sung Yuri married Ahn Sung-hyun in 2017 and gave birth to twin daughters in 2022. After her maternity leave, she returned to television as the host of the variety show 'Can We Recall the Breakup?' However, she halted her activities following allegations against her husband related to bribery for cryptocurrency listings. Her contract with her agency also ended.

Ahn Sung-hyun was sentenced to four years and six months in prison on December 26 last year for defrauding investors of billions of won by promising to list cryptocurrencies on a virtual asset exchange.
