Jang Dong-yoon, Park Yu-na, Korea's first screen life
'Long D' tells the untact love story of Do-ha (played by Jang Dong-yoon) and Tae-in (played by Park Yu-na), a couple of the same age who have been in a long-distance relationship for five years before turning 30.
'Long D', co-produced by the production team of the movies 'Romance Without Love' and 'Search', attracted attention with the Screenlife technique, which consists of only the screen inside the screen device. Screenlife is a genre of movies that consists only of SNS windows, web cams, and YouTube screens through the screens of digital devices such as PC, mobile, and CCTV.
Previously, the movie 'Search' was released for the first time and attracted the attention of many people. In Korea, the movie 'Gonjiam' made a similar attempt, but 'Long D' is the first movie to be made up of 100% screen life in the romantic comedy genre rather than the horror or thriller genre. In the untact era, communicating only through the screen has become routine, making it possible to combine romantic comedy and screen life formats.
'Long D' will show the process of Do-ha and Tae-in, who have their own concerns, entering a new phase as they begin a long-distance relationship in a screen life format. In particular, the experiences of lovers who have no choice but to communicate through the screen due to the 'Long D' setting were naturally expressed in the screen life format. Jang Dong-yoon said, “It was unfamiliar to me to act while being aware of the camera, but I learned new things and got used to it in the process, so I had fun.”
Expectations are also high in that director Timur Bekmambetov joined as a co-producer. He is the CEO and producer of Baselevs, a pioneering production company that introduced the technique of screen life to the world through the movie 'Search'. He collaborated with Twelve Journey, the production company of 'Romance Without Love', on 'Long D'.
Meanwhile, 'Long D' will be released on May 10th.
