Actress Da-mi Kim revealed that she slept a lot during her school days.

On the afternoon of the 2nd, Kim Da-mi told various stories about the upcoming movie 'Soulmate' (director Min Yong-geun) at a cafe located in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

'Soul Mate' is the story of two friends, Miso (played by Da-mi Kim), Ha-eun (played by So-ni Jeon), and Jin-woo (played by Woo-seok Byeon), who recognized each other from their first meeting and shared everything together, including joy, sadness, excitement, and longing.

In the play, Kim Da-mi plays the role of Miso. Although Miso wants to live freely as she wants, she loves Ha-eun to the point where she is always disarmed in front of her most precious friend, Ha-eun.

On this day, Da-mi Kim said, "I saw 'Soulmate' for the first time during the press screening. I binge-watched it while it was being edited. I guess I'm not good at judging it objectively. I watched it from afar, but I remembered it from that time. I think I enjoyed it."

Why did Kim Dami choose ‘soulmate’? He said, "This is a work I filmed after 'Itaewon Class.' After working on 'The Witch' and 'Itaewon Class,' I wanted to play a realistic, everyday character. At that time, it was recommended to me and I saw it. When I heard that it was being produced, I wanted to do it. “It was a little bigger,” he explained.

Kim Da-mi's 'Witch', 'Itaewon Class', and 'That Summer' were all successful at the box office. He said, "Actually, because of the success of 'The Witch' and 'Itaewon Class', rather than worrying about my next work, I tend to look at it carefully when I watch it. I worry a lot about 'How will it look?' The top priority is. “It’s greedy to want to show a different side and a different genre,” he said.

Additionally, Kim Dae-mi has been wearing school uniform continuously. He said, "I found out that among the works I appeared in, there was no work in which I did not wear a school uniform. The uniform styles are all different. That's why it was attractive. Miso walks around in her gym clothes unbuttoned, Yi-seo dresses up, and Yeon-soo basically dresses appropriately. “I think it expressed the character well, so the difference was interesting,” he said, laughing.

Kim Dae-mi said about her actual school days, "There was nothing special. I started learning acting in the first year of high school. Except for going to a lot of academies in the second and third years, my studies were average. I also slept a lot at school. “I remember. I was such a typical student,” he said.

Regarding the biggest deviation Kim Dae-mi made, "I should have gone to an acting academy, but since our school was not specialized, it was not officially recognized. I desperately told my teacher that I wanted to do it. In the end, the school left a bad impression, such as forcing me to leave school early, but I made sure to do it. “I went to the academy because I wanted to do it,” he said.

Not only that, he said, "It's funny when I say it was when I was in kindergarten, but I wanted to act ever since. That seemed like the most fun. I spent a lot of time alone. I was close to TV."
