According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network on the 5th, 'The First Slam Dunk' (directed by Takehiko Inoue) ranked second in the daily box office, attracting 62,084 viewers on the 4th, the day of its release.

‘The First Slam Dunk’ is a movie depicting the dreams, passion, and never-ending challenges of the five members of the Buksan High School basketball team who dream of winning the national championship. This work is a new theatrical version 26 years after the series was serialized, with original author Takehiko Inoue directly participating in the writing and directing. The perspective was expanded to include Song Tae-seop, rather than Kang Baek-ho, as the main character.
