Shin Seong-hoon, “Next film ‘God’s Choice’ will knock on the Oscar door”
Director Shin Seong-hoon is currently meeting with actors and coordinating for his next film. This work will feature a new fantasy genre film by collaborating once again with the 'Thank You Jjajangmyeon' filming team.
'God's Choice' is a story about God and a child about to die, and is scheduled to begin production in secret as early as March. It is also being produced by Brian Thompson, a film director based in Hollywood, and Luis Pripe Alvarado, a playwright based in Lima, Peru. By joining, we plan to complete the film with a fresh and unique scale and quality that has never been seen in the domestic independent film market.
Director Seong-hoon Shin, the director of 'God's Choice', said, "When I wrote the scenario for this work, I completed it in a slightly special way. I think a movie is a battle of materials, or ideas. So I gathered all the strange dreams I had while sleeping and put them all together into one. “I completed it with a scenario. The scenario came out so well that I can really look forward to it,” he said.
Lastly, director Shin Seong-hoon announced his goal, saying, “This work will do our best and will definitely knock on the door of the Oscar Academy in 2024.”
Meanwhile, director Shin Seong-hoon received attention for his work 'Thank You for Jjajangmyeon', but he became embroiled in controversy due to a disagreement with director Park Young-hye, who co-directed it.
