South Korean actress Choi Soo-young is set to make her Hollywood debut in the highly anticipated spin-off of the global hit film 'John Wick', titled 'Ballerina'.

On the 26th, Choi's agency, Saram Entertainment, confirmed her participation in the film, stating, "Actress Choi Soo-young will appear in the 'John Wick' spin-off, 'Ballerina'." This marks Choi's first foray into Hollywood.

'Ballerina' is an action thriller set during the events of 'John Wick 3: Parabellum', focusing on the story of Eve Macaro, played by Ana de Armas, as she begins her training as a traditional assassin of the Ruska Roma. The film is generating significant interest from both domestic and international movie fans as it expands the 'John Wick' universe.

The release of character posters featuring Choi Soo-young, Ana de Armas, Keanu Reeves, Norman Reedus, Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Robert Maaser, and David Castañeda has further heightened anticipation.

Choi Soo-young will portray 'Katla Park', the daughter of Park Il-sung (played by Jung Doo-hong), a collaborator of the Ruska Roma. Katla Park is a ballerina and assassin who becomes the first mission for Eve Macaro, receiving her protection. Choi's collaboration with Ana de Armas is drawing attention.

Choi Soo-young has been actively building her acting career through dramas such as 'Not Others', 'If You Wish Upon Me', 'Run On', and films like 'New Year Blues', 'Girl Cops', as well as the play 'Wife'.

'Ballerina', featuring Choi Soo-young, is set to premiere on June 6th in the United States.
