"Heading to the ground" I.M leaves Starship to stand alone... 'Sprint' with solo sincerity

The group MONSTA X's I.M took the first step of standing alone with sincere music.

On the morning of the 23rd, IM held a press conference to commemorate the release of their new EP 'OVERDRIVE' at CGV Cheongdam Cine City in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

The new album 'Overdrive' contains a new emergency and the will to run without hesitation for the goal set by oneself under any circumstances. It contains a total of 6 songs, including the title song 'Overdrive', 'Blame', 'Dumb', 'Habit', 'More', and 'Not Sorry'.

On this day, I.M explained about the album's title, 'Running', "As it is a new beginning, I tried to put in my heart to run forward and run at the highest speed."

I.M moved to Sony Music after ending his exclusive contract with Starship Entertainment last year. This album is the first album released by Sony Music. Regarding the transfer, I.M said, "I thought that if I was refined, I would be able to settle down."

As much as they ran for challenges and growth, they showed their affection for all the songs on the album. I.M smiled, saying, "All 6 tracks are my babies. If I had to pick just one song, I think the other songs would make me sad." He added, "It's difficult to pick just one song, but in the case of the 4th track 'Habit', I put a saxophone section at the end. It seemed to fit very well. I hope you will listen to it."

He also mentioned his feelings about standing alone. I.M said, "I am confident. When I had some time left, I waited for the album to be released. When it comes to the release day, I feel calmer and calmer. That's how confident I am."

In addition, regarding the point of accompanying Sony Music, "There is no place where I have not touched music videos, album design, and song production. Above all, I think that Sony Music has a wide overseas infrastructure. I look forward to collaborating with overseas artists in the future." He expressed his anticipation.

Announcing the solo concert, I.M said, "It's hard to tell in detail. However, it's different from previous MONSTA X concerts. We'll prepare it so that you can feel a deep lingering feeling."

Finally, he replied, "I hope my music gets a good response from the listeners. Of course, numbers don't mean much to me. If I grow myself and the fans enjoy that growth, what follows will naturally follow." .
