Ailee Unveils New Mini-Album '(Me)moir' with Fresh Sound and Global Appeal

The album is produced entirely by Pdogg, the renowned composer for BTS and in-house producer at Big Hit Music. Ailee spent a year meticulously preparing for this release, which includes music videos for three tracks, demonstrating her confidence not only in the title track 'MMI' but throughout the entire album.

The album also features 'Illusion', an R&B pop song in the Jersey club genre, offering a tight groove with its strong bassline. Meanwhile, the ballad 'Meaning' presents a classic pop sound, allowing listeners to appreciate the lyrical and narrative depth of Ailee's voice.
The album title '(Me)moir' cleverly combines 'Memoir', a term for self-definition and explanation, with 'Me' in parentheses, highlighting the duality of 'Artist Ailee' and 'Human Yejin Lee'.
To maximize the authenticity and emotional expression of the lyrics, Ailee performs all the songs in English. This bold move aims to resonate not only with fans in English-speaking countries but also with audiences in Japan, Southeast Asia, and beyond.
A2Z Entertainment, Ailee's agency, stated, "The tracks, including the title song 'MMI', showcase 'Artist Ailee's' musical spectrum with more sophisticated beats and refined sound, amplifying her strengths in performance and vocal prowess. The album also captures the candid essence of 'Human Yejin Lee', focusing on the present."
Ailee's seventh mini-album '(Me)moir' promises to offer a deeper understanding of both the artist and the person behind the music. Ailee will kick off her promotional activities on music shows starting with Mnet's 'M Countdown' on the 20th, followed by KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' on the 21st.
