"I raised the level of management little by little from the original intensity. If I worked out 5 days a week, I did 7 days. It's not a project that can be prepared in a day or two, in two or three months. I think I've been preparing for a long time without realizing it. Rookie. From when I was young, no, even before I became an actor. I thought that I had been managing like this to do this work until now. Many people still remember 'Save Me' as my representative work, but wouldn't it change with this opportunity? 'Hounds' It's my representative work that I can confidently say."

On the 14th, at a cafe located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, we had an interview with actor Woo Do-hwan of the Netflix series 'Hounds'. Released on the 9th, 'Hounds' is a Netflix series depicting the story of two young men caught up in the world of private loans where money comes before people's lives and risking their lives against the great forces of evil. Woo Do-hwan played the role of Geon-wu, a boxer who jumped into the world of private loans to pay off his debt.

In the play, Woo Do-hwan was Geon-woo himself. His body was like that of a boxer. Maybe more solid and perfect. Woo Do-hwan, who is usually called the king of self-management, prepared a character by whipping himself infinitely this time. He prepared four meals a day and built up his body by increasing his weight by 10 kg.

Woo Do-hwan said, "Director Kim Joo-hwan wanted a boxer-class body. He is a person who thinks physical is important. “I usually maintain 68-69kg when filming a work, but this time I increased it to about 80kg.

Even with fellow actor Lee Sang, they stimulated each other and competed. He revealed their romance, "Eat more, exercise, and tested each other. They complimented each other a lot. He was having a hard time, but I thought it was natural for me to be having a hard time too. Sang-hyung and I relied on each other a lot," revealing their romance.

Yoon Yoo-sun, who plays the mother, said that Woo Do-hwan himself wanted to be cast first. He said, "I once filmed a scene with senior Yoo-sun Yoon in 'Save Me', but I really want to meet her again when the opportunity arises. So I asked senior Yoo-sun Yoon to give me the script. I thought I would like to," he expressed his gratitude.

From the director to the actors who breathe together, they were Woo Do-hwan's 'hunting dogs' with the best conditions. But the ship, which was cruising, was suddenly hit by a headwind. Actress Kim Sae-ron, who boasts a leading role, had to go through twists and turns when she was caught drunk driving in May of last year. The director had to change the script and minimize editing, and the release date of 'Hounds' was delayed.

Even in a difficult situation for everyone, Woo Do-hwan did not lose his sense of responsibility as a leading actor. He said, "I think the bromance with (Lee) Sang-hyung lived better in the second half. Because the script was changed, I think a scene was born where we wear Marine Corps pants and cover our tops to do tire training. A good service cut came out. Rather, it was good," he said, revealing a positive mind.
