Cha Hak-yeon "'Joseon Lawyer' Yoo Ji-seon looks like me"

Actress Cha Hak-yeon expressed her special feelings about working on 'The Joseon Lawyer'.

On the 18th, MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'The Joseon Lawyer' delivered Cha Hak-yeon's special thoughts ahead of its first broadcast. 'The Joseon Lawyer' tells the story of a lawyer from the Joseon Dynasty who takes revenge through a trial against the enemy who killed his parents. A delightful and exhilarating Joseon Dynasty legal revenge action drama that shows that true revenge is valuable when doing righteous things and grows into a real lawyer who serves the people.

Cha Hak-yeon said, "When I received the script, I felt like, 'This is it!'. I found the quick and refreshing plot and the way each character solves the case refreshing."

Cha Hak-yeon said of Yoo Ji-seon's character, "As Pan Yoon, the highest official in Hanseongbu, she is a person who not only possesses elegance and dignity, but also outstanding skills." She added, "She has a soft, detailed, and sharp personality. With leisurely but restrained movements and an accurate and weighty tone, she “I tried to deliver the lines,” he explained.

He said, “Yoo Ji-seon’s resolute yet calm demeanor is similar to mine,” and “I also try to judge situations more calmly and act decisively at important moments when it comes to work.”

Cha Hak-yeon defined the keywords for her role, Yoo Ji-seon, as 'outside and inside out', 'waiting' and 'reverse key man'. He said, “Unlike the firmness of her voice and tone, Yoo Ji-seon has a warm and considerate heart, and is a person who has been waiting for Lee Yeon-ju (played by Kim Ji-yeon) for a long time while loving her.”

In the play, Cha Hak-yeon plays Yoo Ji-seon, the third-generation son of Joseon's most prestigious family and Lee Yeon-joo's fiancé. He is also the son of Yu Je-se (played by Cheon Ho-jin), the highest official in the Joseon Dynasty and a monopoly on the power of the government. Yoo Ji-seon plans to lead an exciting story by intertwining with Kang Han-soo (played by Woo Do-hwan) and Lee Yeon-joo while worrying about whether to follow in her father's path.

Meanwhile, 'Chosun Lawyer' will be aired for the first time on the 31st.
