Ahn Jae-hyun returns to lead role after 3 years

Ahn Jae-hyun, who became a single person, plays a non-married person. The drama comeback is through KBS2's new drama 'Three Siblings Bravely'. Ahn Jae-hyun appeared in front of viewers for the first time in about 3 years in a 'prime time' weekend drama.

Scheduled to air as a follow-up to 'Three Siblings Bravely', 'The Real One Has Appeared!' is about the fake contract romance between a single mother and an unmarried man surrounding the 'real' baby in her womb, and the story of their family becoming 'Avengers' through pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare. It is a drama about the ups and downs of coming of age.

Ahn Jae-hyun's drama comeback is three years after 'Flawless People' in 2019. He has appeared on Na Young-seok's web entertainment programs such as 'New Journey to the West', special 'Spring Camp', and 'Athletic Genius Ahn Jae-hyun', but this is his first time resuming his acting activities.

In August 2019, Ahn Jae-hyun and Ku Hye-sun announced their intention to divorce. At the same time, the conflict between the two was revealed. Afterwards, 'Flawless People' starring Ahn Jae-hyun, which aired in November, had a difficult time. It barely maintained a viewership rating of 2-3% throughout. In addition to Ahn Jae-hyun's acting lacking depth, viewers were unable to become immersed in the romance in the play because of the extreme conflict between him and Ku Hye-sun.

Ahn Jae-hyun and Ku Hye-sun's divorce mediation was agreed upon in July 2020, and the two became legally divorced. The public was even more saddened by the fact that they were two people who showed off their sweet newlywed appearance through the tvN entertainment show 'Newlywed Diary'.

The character played by Ahn Jae-hyun, who overcame the pain of divorce and began acting again in earnest, is a non-married person. Gong Tae-kyung, played by Ahn Jae-hyun, is a highly skilled gynecologist and infertility clinic specialist. Although she has a beautiful appearance and superior genes, she is a non-marriage person to her core. Then, Gong Tae-kyung meets Oh Yeon-du (Baek Jin-hee) and encounters the event of a lifetime. Previously, Kwak Si-yang was cast for the role of Gong Tae-kyung, but had to leave due to scheduling issues. Afterwards, the production team searched and cast Ahn Jae-hyun as the male lead.

‘Three Brothers and Sisters Bravely’ fluctuated in viewership ratings between 18 and 24%, but in the most recent episode, episode 39, the ratings rose to 26.7%. However, in the case of KBS weekend dramas, if it does not exceed 30%, it is considered a ‘disappointing performance’. It is a viewing time for so many viewers that a 30% viewership rating is guaranteed. The previous work of ‘Three Siblings Bravely’, ‘The Present Is Beautiful’, also ended without reaching 30%. Attention is being paid to whether Ahn Jae-hyun, who received the next baton for the sluggish KBS weekend drama, will be able to make a successful comeback and capture the success of the KBS weekend drama.
