Sister Hong: “Park Chang-geun looks handsome when he sings”
Episode 588 of 'Immortal Songs', which will be aired today (7th), will be featured as '2023 New Year Special - Audition Star Family Special'. In this special episode, past audition stars and their families will appear and compete fiercely on a joint stage.
A total of five teams were included in the lineup for this special feature, including sisters Hong Ji-yoon and Hong Joo-hyun, mother and daughter Kim Ae-ran and Kim Tae-yeon, Yoo Il-nam and Oh Yu-jin's grandfather, Shin Myeong-seon and Shin Seung-tae, father and son, and brothers Park Chang-geun and Park Chang-gwang.
Sisters Hong Ji-yoon and Hong Joo-hyeon show extraordinary affection for Park Chang-geun. In particular, Hong Joo-hyun drew attention by saying, “I have been voting for Park Chang-geun since ‘National Singer’” and “I shed tears at home after watching the performance of ‘The Days’.” Hong Ji-yoon, who heard this, agrees, saying, “They say you look so handsome when you sing.” In response, Park Chang-geun said, “I am so honored.”
In particular, the Park Chang-geun brothers attracted attention by selecting the late Kim Gwang-seok's 'Becoming Dust'. It is said that Taeyeon Kim was able to keep in check the powerful song selection of Park Chang-geun, who won 'National Singer Tomorrow' with a folk genre song.
Park Chang-geun's mother also appeared in the talk waiting room, and she kept a poker face while her son Park Chang-geun sang and talked, attracting the attention of MC Lee Chan-won. Regarding this, Park Chang-geun said, “My mother knows me well, doesn’t she? He said, “He is evaluating me by saying, ‘He is not today.’” He said, “He looks at it very calmly.”
