Hwang Jung-eum, divorce revealed → quitting midway 'noisy'

Episode 8 of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Resurrection of the Seven', which aired on the 20th, included a scene where Hwang Jung-eum (played by Geum Ra-hee) saves Lee Joon (played by Min Do-hyuk) and chooses death. The plan to imprison the evildoers in a dungeon and directly expose each other's sins to be judged was put into action, but due to the betrayal of Lee Jung-shin (played by Hwang Chan-seong), he was shot by Yu-bi Lee (played by Han Mone). Hwang Jeong-eum took Lee Jun out of the dungeon and met his end there.

As a result, there are conflicting opinions among viewers regarding Hwang Jung-eum's death, calling it a 'drop-out' or a 'cheat'. Writer Kim Soon-ok did not hesitate to develop a dramatic plot that suddenly revived characters who were thought to be dead through the 'Penthouse' series and 'Escape of the Seven'. There were many cases where a dead person came back as a twin brother, and there were many cases where people thought they were dead but turned out to be alive.

'Resurrection of the Seven' had a viewer rating of 4.4% for the first episode, which was less than half of the previous work 'Chaebol As the provocative settings and improbable developments that have been pointed out since 'Escape of the Seven' continue, even the remaining viewers are turning their backs.
Through this work, Hwang Jung-eum took on the role of a villain for the first time since her debut. In the beginning, the somewhat exaggerated tone and actions created awkwardness, but as the play progressed, the character gradually became more stable. In particular, 'The Resurrection of the Seven' drew favorable reviews for freely expressing various faces, including a cruel and cruel picture of revenge and a vicious appearance.

Hwang Jung-eum's first villain challenge, 'Resurrection of the Seven', and her war-like marriage have come to an end. However, unlike Hwang Jung-eum, ‘Resurrection of the Seven’ still has a long way to go. It doesn't seem easy for 'Resurrection of the Seven' to make up for its poor performance without Hwang Jung-eum, who was the center of attention.
