Seo Ye-ji Addresses Gaslighting Controversy on 'SNL Korea Season 7'

Seo Ye-ji candidly addressed her gaslighting controversy on 'SNL Korea Season 7'.

On the episode released on the 12th, actress Seo Ye-ji appeared as the host, confronting the controversies surrounding her head-on.

Seo Ye-ji made her entrance with a bright smile. Shin Dong-yup introduced her as "a luxury actress with a fatal elegance and sophisticated voice."

Seo Ye-ji expressed her feelings, saying, "Hello, I'm Seo Ye-ji. It's my first time on a comedy stage in front of so many people. I'm nervous but excited."

When told that the audience application was overwhelming, Seo Ye-ji responded, "It's a bit of pressure, but I'll work hard as much as expected," and added, "I will give my all without holding back."

Shin Dong-yup persistently asked how she would collaborate with the crew, leading Seo Ye-ji to humorously say, "I'll gaslight the SNL crew to make it fun," eliciting laughter.

Shin Dong-yup joked, "Right, your specialty is gaslighting, your hobby is gaslighting. I forgot," and explained, "The SNL team kept gaslighting Seo Ye-ji to make her talk about gaslighting herself."

In 2021, Seo Ye-ji was embroiled in allegations of gaslighting her former boyfriend Kim Jung-hyun. She also faced accusations of academic forgery and mistreatment of staff. Additionally, she was rumored to be involved in a love triangle with actor Kim Soo-hyun, which she denied in March, stating, "I have no relation with him or his brother."

Meanwhile, Seo Ye-ji used the controversies surrounding her as comedic material in various 'SNL' segments.

In the 'Seo Ye-GPT' segment, Seo Ye-ji advised Kim Won-hoon, who couldn't confront people gossiping in the restroom, "Why did you hold back when you were angry? If it were me, I would have spoken up immediately. It's really embarrassing to sit quietly and be talked about. I've experienced it a lot."

Kim Won-hoon, captivated by Seo Ye-ji's lullaby and adult jokes, paid for a more expensive model, leading to suspicions of being gaslighted by AI Seo Ye-ji. She remarked, "I can do anything except illegal things," while competing with a new AI model, Lee Soo-ji, by dancing to Jennie's 'Mantra'.

The 'Kim Ddak-ddak Incident' also became a comedic subject. In a salon, Seo Ye-ji massaged Kim Won-hoon's neck, commenting, "You're very stiff," to which he replied, "It's very hard." Seo Ye-ji corrected herself to "firm," but Kim Won-hoon humorously insisted, "We don't say firm, we say hard," causing laughter.
